Biography

Based in Hong Kong, Dr. DJ Clark is the Multimedia Director at China Daily Asia Pacific and the host and producer of the adventure travel show “Drone & Phone”. He also serves as a video advisor to the Asia News Network and is a course leader for the University of Bolton’s MA in Visual Design. Previously, he contributed regularly to The Economist, BBC Radio, and National Geographic.

With a strong background as both a practitioner and researcher, Dr. Clark has a deep interest in how technology can transform journalism, media production, and various other fields around the world. He has utilized AI tools in training programs that have supported over 60 journalists.

DJ has won numerous awards throughout his career. In 2020, his film “Battleground PolyU” won seven international prizes, including the World Press Photo Interactive of the Year, and was nominated for a Webby. The film is a 3D immersive experience.
