Biography

Ir Eric Chan is Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology of the UK. Mr Chan is currently the Chief Public Mission Officer of Hong Kong Cyberport, responsible for building the ecosystem to nurture I&T start-ups and young entrepreneurs for Hong Kong. Mr Chan is a veteran in the ICT industry and has held senior management positions at MNCs prior to joining Cyberport. Mr Chan is active in public services, especially in education, industry training, professional bodies and charitable organisations. Mr Chan is currently the Chairman of Hong Kong Qualifications Framework ICT Industry Training Advisory Committee, Member of the Advisory Committee on Gifted Education of the Education Bureau of the HKSAR Government, Chairman of Knowledge Management Development Center in Hong Kong, member of university advisory committees and IMC member of secondary schools.
