Miss Rachel Lau Man

Student Ambassador, CLAP@JC Joint School Career and Life Development Club

Biography

Ms. Lau is a dedicated Year 1 student at a local college and an active CLD Ambassador with the CLAP@JC Joint School CLD Club (JSCLD). In her role as an ambassador, she initiates and conducts Career and Life Development (CLD) activities tailored to the needs, interests, and abilities of her peers. Ms. Lau is committed to promoting high-quality, youth-led CLD initiatives.

As a CLD Ambassador, she served as the master of ceremonies for the 2024 Youth Co-creation Event, titled “Joint School CLD Ambassador and Enterprise Advisors Exchange Forum - Challenges and Opportunities in the Future World of Work.” Additionally, she held the position of Chairperson for the Career Development Society at S.K.H Bishop Baker Secondary School.

Continuing her dedication, Ms. Lau is also a core member of the 2025 Youth Co-creation Event.

Abstract:

Student empowerment is at the core of education and school is an ideal place to provide students with the skills and mindsets they need to make informed decisions that are important and relevant to them and to be productive members of societies. The panel will explore how schools can build in key platforms and infrastructure to support and empower students through their development.
