Principal Chen started his career in education in a special school in 2002. Two years later, he joined a Direct Subsidy Scheme School in Tung Chung as a Business Teacher and took up various leadership responsibilities and was appointed Principal in 2013. In 2021, he was appointed as the Principal of Ying Wa College, a very reputable boys’ school with over 200 years history. He is passionate about nurturing young people and developing their talents, as well as fostering the pursuit of the emotional and academic well-being of the whole person, excellence, community service and responsibility.
Principal Chen actively serves the community. He is currently the Chairman of Hong Kong Direct Subsidy Scheme Schools Council, the Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Principals’ Institute, the Vice Chairman of the Kowloon Region School Heads Association, the Chairman of Islands District Youth Development & Civic Education Committee, the Assistant Chief Commissioner of Scout Association of Hong Kong, Committee Member of Canoe Polo Committee of the International Canoe Federation.
